On June 3rd, 2015, Ducati China released the SUPERBIKE series top sports car 1299 Panigale at the launching ceremony of "Dream Tour in China, Ducati". The new car includes three models: the regular version, the S version and the R version, and the price is 309,000 yuan, 379,000 yuan and 489,000 yuan respectively. The new car will become the largest displacement sports car launched by Ducati in China, and it is also the most powerful and advanced sports car on the market in Ducati so far.
Ducati 1299 Panigale was unveiled at the Milan Motor Show in 2014, which is intended to replace 1199 as the latest flagship sports car of Ducati SUPERBIKE series. The head spoiler of the new car was widened to make its front face more lethal, and at the same time, the side and rear of the car were slightly improved for better spoiler.
The 1299 Panigale adopts a brand-new exhaust system, which increases the diameter of the exhaust pipe and has its own exhaust control valve. The front and rear parts are equipped with Ohlins electronic adaptive shock absorber system. The S version and the R version adopt forged rims, and the specifications are Pirelli devil tires with front 120/70 R17 and rear 200/55 R17.
In terms of power, a water-cooled L2 dual-cylinder EFI engine is used, with a displacement of 1285cc, a piston diameter of 116mm, a power of 205 HP (208 PS)/10,500 rpm, a torque of 144 nm/8,750 rpm, and a wet 6-speed gearbox with a dead weight of 166.5kg(R version is 162kg). The braking system comes from BREMBO’s radial calipers and racing ABS.
